Darius Brubeck at the Concorde Club

I enjoyed yet another wonderful night of jazz last night at the Concorde Club in my little town.

Last night was Dave Brubeck's eldest son Darius and his quartet .... really enjoyed this one.  Darius was saying that his dad is now 90 and although not in the best of health is still playing regularly.  Not bad for 90!  I was listening particularly carefully last night, to try and improve my arrangement of jazz tunes that I am currently creating ... but that's another thing!!

Chris Garrick at The Concorde Club

Last week I saw Chris Garrick at The Concorde jazz Club in my home town - an evening exploring the works of Stefan Grappelli.   Alec Dankworth was on bass - fabulous player!  I am not mad keen on jazz on the violin, but it was a great evening nonetheless and they were sure great musicians.  

T-Bone and Rosie getting tame

Rosie the cinamon conure is getting a bit tamer now and is now taking seeds from T-Bone's hands and stepping up.  She is a gorgeous girl, very sweet and gentle and obviously loves T-bone (her boy) and her Daddy to death.  Haha, ring any bells lol.

Flower fest on father's day

This afternoon I went primarily to visit my dear old dad and wish him happy father's day.  While I was there I took lots of photos of the flowers in the garden.  Mum is a very keen gardener and there are lots of things out in flower.  Here are a few of them from this afternoon:
