Camping in Wiltshire and Avebury

I've just got back from a really enjoyable weekend camping with all my loved ones in Calne in Wiltshire. This is only the second camping trip I've done in recent years since having a family, but I have always enjoyed it for the laid back lifestyle! It is hard work getting everything ready, but once everything is all sorted out and the tent is up etc, and you pour your first glass of wine, all is good with the world! It is always lovely to see my brother and sisters and families too. This year Merv and Ollie joined Sophie, Jon and I. Yesterday we all went to Avebury, where there are several ancient stone circles, reputed to be about 5,000 years old. All the fresh air made all the children quite tired, and Jon and Soph were both asleep by 7 pm in the car on the way home! Sophie is very excited because she has been asked to go camping again this weekend by her friend in Yorkshire!
