January Skies

There was a beautiful sunrise this morning that quite took my breath away.  I had just dropped my daughter at school and was just on my way home and I caught sight of the most glorious sky at 8 am.

The bottom layer was primrose yellow with a pink hue, and with the greyish tints of sillouetted trees against it it looked quite magical.  There was a very distinct line with a further layer above of blue, peppered with fluffy pink herringbone clouds.  Just beautiful.

By the time I had driven home, the colours had muted somewhat, but I snatched a couple of photos with my camera phone and then the Nikon.  A beautiful sunrise - what a perfect start to the day!
